2025 ITAMI International Jewellery Exhibition

2025.11.15-12.21

2025 ITAMI International Jewellery Exhibition

The ITAMI Craft Exhibition, which began in 1989, was relaunched in 1998 as the ITAMI International Craft Exhibition, a larger-scale open competition. Since then, it has alternated between the themes of “Jewellery” and “Shuki Shuhaidai,” and this year marks its 26th edition. With “Jewellery” as the theme for this year, we are proud to present 98 selected works including 8 prize-winning works chosen through a rigorous jury process from a total of 302 submissions (947 pieces in total), of which 155 works came from 27 countries overseas.

That more than half of the entries came from abroad is clear evidence that ITAMI has earned significant recognition worldwide as an international competition for contemporary jewellery. We receive this with gratitude as one of the fruits of our efforts to promote and develop jewellery culture.

The submitted works demonstrated excellence not only in concept and technique, but also in their engagement with materials, the body, society, the times, culture, and history. Each conveyed the richness and possibilities of jewellery and reminded us of its future potential. We extend our deepest respect and heartfelt gratitude to all the participants who submitted such ambitious works.

We remain committed to sustaining and advancing this unique competition into the future, an invaluable opportunity for artists to take on new challenges, and a place for audiences to encounter surprise and discovery. With your continued support, we look forward to further enriching this platform in the years ahead. We hope that you will all come and see it.
