日本とノルウェーの外交関係樹立120周年を記念して、両国で活躍しているジュエリー作家8名によるコンテンポラリージュエリー展を開催します。
本展のテーマは「Re」。作家それぞれが「Re」から始まる言葉を設定し、その言葉をもとに制作した作品を発表します。
日本語で「再」と表すことができる「Re」という接頭語に、より良い未来へつなげていくために今一度立ち止まって考えようという意味を込めました。また同時に「Re」は「返信」の意味も含みます。本展では、未来への課題に対し、作家たちが出した答えをジュエリー作品で返信する形で表現します。
世界の未来とジュエリーのこれから…作家たちと共に思いを馳せていただく機会となれば幸いです。

To commemorate the 120th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Norway, we hold a contemporary jewellery exhibition by eight jewellery artists active in both countries.
The theme of this exhibition is “Re.” Each artist has chosen a word beginning with “Re” and present works based on that word.
The prefix “Re”, which can be expressed as “再（again）” in Japanese, conveys the idea of stopping to think once again in order to connect to a better future. At the same time, “Re” also means “reply”. In this exhibition, the artists express their answers to questions about the future in the form of replies in their jewellery pieces.
The future of the world and the future of jewellery…we hope this will be an opportunity to reflect and ponder together with the artists.
